2621 - McDonald's halts sale of large French fries in Japan amid potato supply crunch


McDonald's Japan has said that it will suspend selling medium and large-sized French fries for a week starting Friday as COVID-19-led supply chain issues and floods in Canada delay potato shipments. The fast-food company will continue to sell small-sized French fries in Japan. The potatoes used for the French fries are imported from North America, it said.
